Titled The Ocean by Ariel Gray
There were those moments that I knew no one was looking
When the sound of the ocean kept sweeping over me
And I stood there with a smile on my face
Thrown back up against the wall I laid on the floor where I fell
It was the sound of the ocean that stood me up
It was those eyes that didn’t even see me, no one did
Even when it was all so clear right in front
As the blood collected inside of me,
And I was dying to let it out
I clenched my fists as tight as they would go
Nails to palm I kept digging deeper
I was on a mission to wipe you out
It was the sound of the ocean that kept me up at night
Awake with that fear slapped across my face
I made the wrong move again
I still remember when I told you that night
I could barely breathe trying to get it out
And I felt faint as the ocean began to sweep in once more
Then someway, somehow it all came pouring out
Like it was all starting again
When there were those moments that I knew no one was looking
When the sound of the ocean kept sweeping over me
And I stood there with a smile on my face
Thrown back up against the wall I laid on the floor where I fell
It was the sound of the ocean that stood me up
It was those eyes that didn’t even see me, no one did
Even when it was all so clear right in front
As the blood collected inside of me,
And I was dying to let it out
